Foundational science at the edge of what's known.
Topological phases, superconducting interfaces, and emergent phenomena in low-dimensional systems.
Protein folding dynamics, genomic regulatory networks, and machine learning–driven drug discovery.
Gravitational wave astronomy, exoplanet atmospheric spectroscopy, and high-energy transients.
Checksund2 is an independent research center founded in 2018. We operate at the intersection of theoretical physics, computational biology, and observational astronomy — funding long-horizon projects that traditional grant structures overlook.
Our team of twenty-three researchers works across three laboratories and a field station in the Atacama Desert. We publish openly, collaborate across borders, and believe the best science happens when disciplines collide.
